
Los Angeles, February 12, 2021 β In a salute to Black History Month, the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) is putting the spotlight on the business of Black TV during a new event created to spark compelling discussion around key industry topics on an international stage. The premier global business association for content producers, distributors, streamers, and buyers across all platforms, NATPE has programmed a stellar line-up of talent and executives, who will speak to an audience spanning network executives, showrunners and producers, distribution sales and acquisitions executives, brands, agencies and students.

Hosted by Page Six Reporter Carlos Greer, the event kicks off with a keynote interview of Jonathan Capehart (MSNBC, PBS, The Washington Post). This culture and public affairs commentator discusses his career journey including the early challenges as well as his ongoing effort to reflect the integrity of his opinions as one Black voice in the television industry. Heβll be interviewed by event producer and President, Schramm Marketing Group, Joe Schramm.
Packing a full dayβs topics into three hours, the keynote will be followed by an advertising discussion – βEngaging Black TV Viewers to Loyal Brand Customersβ, and an engaging conversation with leaders from AMCβs ALLBLK!/WE tv, Sean βDiddyβ Combsβ REVOLT TV & Media, and Tyler Perry Studios discussing the ins and outs of their programming strategies. The program continues with four fast-paced, fireside discussions with leading television executives or personalities who talk about their personal obligation to authentically represent a Black perspective or βVoiceβ in their programs.
