LOVE & MARRIAGE: HUNTSVILLE, OWN’S hit reality series, returns January 30

We can think of quite a few reasons why LOVE & MARRIAGE: HUNTSVILLE, OWN’S hit reality series is a fan favorite. For one, we get to watch three Black power couples takeover the commercial real estate and construction industry in a relatively small town in Alabama, like they own it. Unfortunately, or fortunately for some, it’s not all business with these dynamic couple’s, there’s a little drama, okay alot, that follows love and marriage.

And, that’s just one of the many reasons why we over here at The Chocolate Voice is excited that the hit reality series returns with new episodes starting Saturday, January 30 at 9/8c

“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” follows three power couples and longtime friends Melody & Martell Holt, LaTisha & Marsau Scott and Kimmi & Maurice Scott in Huntsville, Alabama as they balance real-life challenges in marriage, friendship and business. Season 2 picks up with the Black Lives Matter movement and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. While Marsau and Latisha have grown closer during quarantine, LaTisha’s relationship with her sister-in-law Kimmi is falling apart. While Kimmi is busy on the front lines of the pandemic as a nurse, she butts heads with Maurice when it comes to her son Jaylin, who has recently graduated from college and is having trouble choosing his next step in life.

As for Melody and Martell, despite their four children, they have recently separated amid rumors that Martell’s mistress is pregnant. As the Holts’ marriage dissolves, Melody’s career is soaring while Martell struggles to keep things afloat.
