
SAN DIEGO – ArtPower at UC San Diego is adding six new events to its 22nd season, bringing Grammy-winning artists, fan favorites, and powerful cultural voices to local stages through May 30.
Newly announced performances include Grammy-nominated country-soul duo The War And Treaty (April 2) and Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson (April 22). The expanded lineup also highlights celebrated Black artists across genres—from jazz and classical fusion to comedy and spoken word.

The War And Treaty (April 2)
The husband-and-wife powerhouse duo, Michael and Tanya Trotter, bring their electrifying blend of country, gospel, and soul to the Epstein Family Amphitheater. With Grammy nominations and major CMA and ACM recognition, their latest album Plus One centers connection, hope, and joy.
Black Violin (April 17)
Known for merging classical precision with hip-hop energy, Black Violin’s “Full Circle Tour” redefines what string music can be—bridging cultures and generations.
Meshell Ndegeocello (May 6)
The Grammy-winning bassist, vocalist, and visionary artist brings her boundary-pushing sound to San Diego with music from her latest project No More Water.
Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra (Feb. 18)
Celebrate the spirit and soul of New Orleans with the Grammy-winning trombonist and his acclaimed ensemble.
Reggie Watts (Rescheduled: April 4)
The improvisational genius blends music and comedy in a completely unscripted performance.
David Sedaris (May 7)
The bestselling humorist returns for an evening of sharp social commentary and storytelling.
The season also includes dance innovators Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies, interactive sing-along sensation Choir! Choir! Choir!, family programming like Peppa Pig: My First Concert, and global artists including DakhaBrakha and Camila Fernández.
With these additions, ArtPower’s 2026 lineup now features 28 performances spanning jazz, global music, dance, comedy, chamber music, and speaker events.
