(San Diego, CA) On Sunday, May 4 Casa De Amparo hosted its 18th annual “Meet the Chefs.”
This year’s event was held at the Hilton Del Mar where hundred’s of supporters gathered for the signature fundraiser, which all proceed’s will be used towards the organization’s mission to support those affected by and at risk of child abuse. During the poolside event, attendees had an opportunity to sip, savor, mix, mingle and bid on a variety of auction items and opportunity drawings–Exquisite jewelry, restaurant dinners, fine wines, hotel and resort stays and more.
Eighteen participating restaurants and chef’s who shall we say were, “down for the cause” came prepared to show off their magnificent culinary skills.
Signature Chef sponsors included: Harrah’s Resort, Wells Fargo, FDR Construction, DJO Global, Datron, Directed Electronics and the San Diego Chargers. Pastry Chef sponsors included: Grant General Contractors, Union Bank and Alphatec Spine.
To name a few of the participating restaurants: Amaya at the Grand Del Mar, Del Mar Rendezvous, Jake’s Del Mar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Dolce Pan E Vino and Shimbashi Izakaya.
The event was a party in your mouth but, for a good cause.
Casa de Amparo is under the direction of Tamara Fleck-Myers, Executive Director. The chair for this years event is Britainy Birkhoff.
