In celebration of Black History Month, Disney Channel is airing a series of “Be Inspired” segments celebrating African-American heroes, activists, legends and inspiring stories.
The latest “Be Inspired” segment narrated by “K.C. Undercover” star Kamil McFadden, celebrates Ella Fitzgerald, Janelle Monae, Gary Clark, Jr., Maya Angelou, Lee Daniels, Shonda Rhimes, Harry Belafonte, Jessie Williams and Viola Davis.

In another “Be Inspired” segment Cameron Boyce (“Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” “Descendants”) and his personal connection to “The Clinton 12,” the historical African-American teens who were first to integrate a public school in the South in 1956.
Boyce’s grandmother, Jo Ann Allen Boyce, was among “The Clinton 12.”
