Disney’s Aladdin Soars at the San Diego Civic Theatre

Disney Theatrical Productions under the direction of Thomas Schumacher presents Aladdin, the North American tour, music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, book and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin, starring: Adi Roy (Aladdin), Marcus M. Martin (Genie), Senzel Ahmady (Jasmine), Jake Letts (Babkak), Colt Prattes (Kassim), Ben Chavez (Omar), Anand Nagraj (Jafar), Aaron Choi (Iago) and Sorab Wadia (Sultan) directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw.

Aladdin, the hit musical based on the Academy Award®-winning animated film, soars into San Diego starting Wednesday at 7 pm. A fan favorite of all ages, Aladdin is an exciting stage production filled with beautiful music, whimsical magic, a vibrant explosion of color and timely comedy.

This is an extraordinary theater event where a lamp and a genie, played by Marcus M. Martin (who steals the show by the way) grants three wishes in hopes of making possibilities become true.

Aladdin, adapted from the animated Disney film and centuries-old folktales including “One Thousand and One Nights,” is brought to fresh theatrical life in this bold new musical. Aladdin’s journey sweeps audiences into an exciting world of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance. This new production features a full score, including the five cherished songs from the Academy Award-winning soundtrack and more written especially for the stage.

Aladdin will play Wednesday at 7 pm, Thursday at 2 pm & 7:30 pm, Friday at 7:30 pm, Saturday at 2 pm & 7:30 pm and Sunday at 1 pm & 6:30 pm. Beginning Thursday, December 14, 2023, tickets will be available at the San Diego Civic Theatre Box Office, and online at BroadwaySD.com.
