LOS ANGELES (April 2020) – Known for her jazzy, raspy and vocally unique sound, singer/songwriter and peace activist Queen Theresa King releases her long anticipated single “This Too Shall Pass”. The uplifting and powerful single is the first release from her forthcoming debut EP titled “It’s Your Life”. “I recorded this song back in 2014 and it was always one of my favorites! In 2019 with the uncertainty of our nation and communities, I started to get requests to perform this song at events and gatherings and that’s when I knew the time was now. The message in “This Too Shall Pass” is what the people needed to restore hope” says Queen Theresa.
Born in New Orleans, LA and after surviving a tumultuous childhood with roots in molestations that lead to an attempted suicide at the age of 11 and becoming a teen-age runaway, Theresa discovered her purpose. She also discovered that there was healing through her music. Now armed with this revelation, Theresa began writing songs, and performing at as many places as possible in an effort to confirm the healing power that she felt was in her music, and it was so. Just as it is when she ministers from the pulpit, Theresa has the same healing power that heals, restores and comforts through her music. Anointed by God, Theresa’s unique style and sultry signature sound cannot be duplicated and every track on the forthcoming EP tells a story and is designed to take listeners through a spiritual healing experience.
