Stars, filmmakers and fans celebrated the launch of Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre. The series launch is a six-episode event over two weeks: episodes 1-3 be available exclusively on Disney+ 6 p.m. PT, with 4-6 hitting the platform next week.
Attendees included stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Matthew Elam, Manny Montana, Anji White, Cree Summer, LaRoyce Hawkins, Shakira Barrera, Shea Couleé, Sonia Denis and Zoe Terakes. Filmmakers attending were Brad Winderbaum (executive producer), Zoie Nagelhout (executive producer), Chinaka Hodge (created for television by/executive producer), Ryan Coogler (executive producer), Sev Ohanian (executive producer) and Angela Barnes (director). Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), determined to make her mark on the world, returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).The series also stars Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam and Anji White. Chinaka Hodge is head writer; episodes are directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes.
