On July 11th, VH1 aired its much anticipated and highly missed Hip Hop Honors! Itβs been a few years since the network last produced the program, but it was well worth the wait.
The evening was filled with girl power, uplifting words of encouragement and above all β nostalgic music that you just had to jam to. All Hail the Queens!
The First Lady herself even shared a special shout out to Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah, where she praised their music and activism, and said that they βEmpower young women to believe in themselves and to fulfill their boundless promise.β
