The San Diego (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly invites the community to experience an afternoon steeped in legacy, purpose, and promise as we celebrate the 39th Annual Achievers Program—An Affair of Honor.
On Sunday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, the elegant Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter will come alive with the brilliance of young Black excellence, as this year’s Achievers took their well-deserved place in the spotlight. This signature event was more than a presentation—it was a rite of passage, a celebration of perseverance, and a tribute to the boundless potential of our future leaders.
Since its founding in 1986, the Achievers Program has stood as a pillar of empowerment—an intensive nine-month journey designed to cultivate character, ignite leadership, and prepare African American male high school seniors for success in college, career, and life. These young men, nominated by schools across San Diego County, are paired with accomplished professional mentors who guide, uplift, and inspire them to walk boldly in purpose.
Throughout the program, Achievers engage in transformative workshops that speak directly to their growth and well-being—from civic responsibility and voting rights, to mental health awareness, financial literacy, and wealth-building. Each lesson is a seed planted, nurturing not only achievement, but legacy.
And legacy indeed lives here. Nearly 900 young men have walked this path, emerging as scholars, professionals, and community leaders—each carrying forward the values instilled through this powerful experience. Every graduate is also supported with scholarship assistance, reinforcing the Chapter’s unwavering commitment to their continued success.
