San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival Highlights Day One

Never a disappointing performance from Brian Culbertson, and the Funk band the last to perform on Saturday night.

The San Diego Smooth Jazz Fest is back!  The two day event held at a central location at the picturesque Embarcadero, across from Seaport Village, is the perfect venue to attract locals and beyond.  We spoke with attendee’s that traveled from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Maryland and as far away as Australia who came to see esteemed artist perform.

V.I.P ticket prices at $250.00 per person, per day included, a private add-on event on Friday,  lavish gourmet style buffett, dessert, constant servings of water all day and a no host bar. General admission tickets are $65.00.

Saturday nights line up, a tough act to follow included: The L.A Collective, Nick Colionne, EPK: Euge Groove, Peter White, and Keiko Matsui. Michael Franks, La Jolla native and Brian Culbertson, who fans have named the funkiest “white boy” on the planet closed out the night.  All performances were crowd pleasers.

The two-day festival experience concludes tonight with Curtis Brooks, Eric Darius, Gerald Albright, Jonathan Butler, West Coast Jam featuring:  Rick Braun, Richard Elliot, Norman Brown, and Grammy-Award winning Boney James.

The San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival, hosted by Rainbow Promotions (Long Beach Jazz Festival) and local business owners Payne Pest Management, is where it’s happening!
