San Diego Links to Host Black Family Wellness Expo


(San Diego, CA) The San Diego (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host the Black Family Wellness Expo on March 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy. This free, family-friendly event aims to address health and economic disparities in the Black community by offering valuable wellness resources.

As part of The Links, Incorporated’s nationwide initiative, the expo will provide access to essential health and wellness services, including:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • CPR Training & Fitness Classes
  • Healthy Eating & Nutrition (featuring food vendors)
  • Etiquette 101 & Beauty/Skincare
  • Dental Care & Hygiene
  • Educational & Mobility Resources
  • Health Screenings & Veterans Services

In collaboration with UC San Diego School of Medicine’s “Community Health in Medicine” course, the event will connect attendees with medical and wellness professionals.

“We are excited to bring this initiative to San Diego,” said Angela Hilliard, President of The San Diego Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. “Our goal is to empower families with the tools and knowledge to live healthier lives.”
