โStar Warsโ creator George Lucas is engaged to investment firm president Mellody Hobson.
A spokeswoman for Lucasfilm Ltd. says the 68-year-old director is engaged to 43-year-old Hobson. Hobson isย president and a director of Ariel Investments, LLC, a Chicago-based investment management firm, since 2000 and as the chairman since 2006, and a trustee since 1993 of the mutual funds it manages. Additionally, sheย serves as chairman of DreamWorks Animation and is a financial contributor to ABCโs โGood Morning America.โ
