(San Diego, CA) Susan G. Komen San Diego’s Inaugural Education Round table “E2 = Equality x Empowerment” event, which took place Saturday, Feb. 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood House Association, located at 841 S. 41 St. (West Room)  in San Diego, hosted a free panel of physicians and breast health experts to discuss and answer questions about breast health guidelines, screening and treatments in celebration of Black History month.

Among African American women, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths, exceeded only by lung cancer.
