Recently, we had the privilege of witnessing Tony award-winner Cynthia Erivo’s exceptional vocals accompanied by the San Diego Symphony. Amazing talent! Today, the official trailer launch and poster of the highly anticipated bio-pic HARRIET, based on the life and times of Harriet Tubman, starring Erivo was released and we can’t wait!

Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, HARRIET tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

HARRIET is directed by Kasi Lemmons (“Eve’s Bayou”, “Talk to Me”) and written by Lemmons and Gregory Allen Howard (“Ali”, “Remember the Titans”). The film is produced by Debra Martin Chase, Daniela Taplin Lundberg and Gregory Allen.

The esteemed cast includes: Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monáe, Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles and Clarke Peters.

Focus Features will release HARRIET in theaters November 1, 2019
