San Diego based Maya’s Cookies, a Black-owned vegan bakery hosted its grand opening party and ribbon cutting ceremony at new storefront on Friday, November 6. The festivities started at 10 am, with VIP guests, and giveaways which included Maya’s gourmet vegan cookies —Obama, a limited edition that originally released on the former presidents birthday in August, an inspired by the Presidential Cookie Bake-off, won by former first lady Michelle Obama.
Other delicious veganized cookies created by Maya include—Chocolate Chip, Gingerbread, Snickerdoodle, Oatmeal and Birthday Cake just to name a few.
For those who are in the San Diego area, be sure and visit the new location at 4760 Mission Gorge Place in the Grantville neighborhood.
