Maya’s Gourmet Vegan Cookies Releases 4th Annual Black History Month Collection

Maya’s Cookies is celebrating Black History Month with the release of its 4th annual Black History Collection.

The bakery’s most anticipated release of the year, the 2024 Black History Collection is dedicated to Black athletes breaking barriers and pushing for more inclusion both on and off the field. Highlighting 3 pioneers in the world of sports – Florence Griffith Joyner, Serena Williams, and Earvin “Magic” Johnson, this year’s Black History Collection tells stories of resilience, dedication and perseverance.

The 2024 Black History Collection includes 3 brand-new cookie flavors, each dedicated to one of the aforementioned athletes: The Trailblazer, The Grand Slam and The MVP.

As in previous years, the 2024 Black History Collection will highlight specialty ingredients from fellow Black-owned businesses. This year’s selections include Kanda Chocolates, an ethically-sourced, fair-trade chocolate made in Ghana and Vanilla-infused Sea Salt from Healthy on You, a Black-woman owned spice company local to San Diego.

Each collection comes in Maya’s Cookies’ signature pink gift box, wrapped in a limited-edition band featuring an exclusive design by Britny Lizet, a multidisciplinary artist whose creations echo her profound love for storytelling, intricate symmetry, and vibrant color palettes.
