WOCU Productions Announces Premiere of “The Ex-Wives Club,” A Social Verticle First

A Seven-Episode Digital Dramedy Series Launching June 22 on Social Media Platforms

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — June 2026 — WOCU Productions, the nonprofit production company and media arm of Women of Color Unite (WOCU), today announced the premiere of its first original scripted series, The Ex-Wives Club, debuting Monday, June 22, 2026, across WOCU’s social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.

Created specifically for the vertical viewing experience, The Ex-Wives Club is a seven-episode dramedy that follows four women navigating friendship, identity, dating, and reinvention after divorce. Told through a social-first lens, the series blends humor, emotional honesty, and relatable life experiences that mirror conversations happening every day in group chats, living rooms, and social feeds.

The Ex-Wives Club is ultimately about friendship,” said WOCU Productions. “While the women are each navigating different chapters of life after marriage, the series explores the universal reality that our closest friends often become the witnesses, advisors, critics, and champions of our most significant life decisions.”

The seven-episode season will roll out every 48 hours beginning June 22, creating a binge-worthy viewing experience designed for today’s mobile and social-first audiences.

Beyond the Series: A Six-Week Companion Podcast

Beginning Thursday, June 25, The Ex-Wives Club: After Hours podcast will premiere across YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and social media platforms. New episodes will be released weekly for six weeks, offering audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the production process through conversations with the series’ all-Black cast and crew.
